Edibles do not behave like inhaled cannabis. Onset is commonly 30 minutes to two hours, and the experience can last four to eight hours or longer. The mistake nearly every uncomfortable first edible experience has in common is the same one: taking a second dose because the first "was not working", and then having both arrive at once.
Take one dose. Wait two full hours. Do not redose inside that window. That single rule prevents most bad edible experiences.
How to dose
In Massachusetts a single serving of an edible is capped at 5mg THC, and a package at 100mg total, so the maths on our shelf is straightforward. A 100mg package is twenty 5mg servings, not one item.
If you have never had an edible, start at 2.5mg — half a standard gummy. If that is comfortable, 5mg is a reasonable next step on a different day. Experienced consumers often sit somewhere between 5mg and 20mg, but there is no prize for arriving there quickly. See our full edibles dosing guide.
Gummies, chocolates and RSO
Gummies are the most popular format because they are easy to divide and consistently dosed. Chocolates behave similarly. Both are absorbed through the digestive tract, which is what makes onset slow and variable.
RSO products are made with a full-extract cannabis oil and are typically stronger and more full-spectrum in character. Treat an RSO edible as a step up, not a lateral move.
What affects how it hits you
Food in your stomach, your metabolism, your tolerance and the product itself all change the outcome. The same 5mg gummy can feel different on an empty stomach than after dinner. This variability is normal and is another reason to hold a consistent starting dose across a few sessions before adjusting.
What we carry
We stock edibles from Wana, Kanha, Berkshire Roots and Sapura among others — classic gummies, live rosin gummies, RSO gummies and RSO chocolate, in indica, sativa, hybrid and balanced 1:1 CBD:THC ratios. The 1:1 products are worth knowing about: many customers find the added CBD makes the experience feel less sharp.

How long until an edible kicks in?
Commonly 30 minutes to two hours. Wait the full two hours before considering more.
What is a good first dose?
2.5mg THC — typically half a standard gummy. You can always take more next time.
